On the wagon
I've decided to write a blog because I'm one of the last people to start one. And let's face it, its just my style; writing about myself, my life. What an outlet for an attention hungry only child.
Right now, its 1:45 on Sunday morning, and I'm watching a CSI rerun (I'm adding being buried alive and getting hit by a speeding car while riding a scooter down my street to the ways I'd like not to die.) My left leg is hurting and still a bit bruised from my leap of faith last weekend, and my TV is making a really high pitch ringing noise when the images on the screen are predominately white or light colored. I hope I'm not the only one who can hear it.
I decided to hang out with my mother this evening, we watched les mis, had a bottle of wine, and talked over pate and brie. Nice quiet night with lots of Sandra time left over. I'm not sure what Colin did tonight, but I was under the impression it was going to involve walking. Although I'm sure I could walk better after a few strong cocktails, it would hurt like hell walking to downtown from Cornell St. Plus, Sunday night is our unofficial "night." I'd like to thank HBO, MTV, VH1, Cottage Inn Pizza, and those fine folks down at the Franzia Vineyard for making my Sundays so enjoyable.
With my parents spending so much time at our cottage I've been able to have Colin over for the past two nights, and, with the exception of our mutual injuries, it was quite nice. Actually I got to play nurse Thursday night when he came over after a particularly ill-fated late night paintball game in Williamston. Little did I knowI can work wonders with band-aids on wounds that really ought to be stitched up. Neither of us really knew the signs of a concussion, or what happens when you get one, so we just crossed our fingers and took it easy all Friday day and night. I don't think I'll forget last night for a while. Something about cuddling up on the floor watching Sixteen Candles, laughing like it was the first time we'd seen it, the night will stick with me.
This week I have two Geography tests, one Monday, one Wednesday. Its very nice to have a class that doesnt begin until 5 in the afternoon. This is a nice break before fall semester starts back up. I've actually gotten a bit tan, read a few books for pleasure, and this week I'm hoping I can finally make some appointments I really need.
My TV is still making an awful ringing, but Punishment is on the History channel, and I just can't get enough.
